Opalite Gemstone Guitar Or Bass Pick - 3.0 mm Ultra Heavy Gauge - 351 Shape - Specialty Handmade Exotic Plectrum

These exotic Opalite plectrums sound great for acoustic or electric guitar players, bass, ukulele and semi hollow body jazz guitarists due to their unique tonal color production.

These picks are in a polished finish and have a very attractive aesthetic and translucent beauty. Because this is a handmade product each one is unique and the inherent colors and patterns present in each individual pick will slightly vary in appearance, as well as minutely in size and thickness. Opalite can be anywhere from almost totally transparent to milky white, and changes colors depending on the lighting, viewing angle, and background. We've tried to show some of the variety in the photographs, but it really doesn't do it justice and looks amazing in person. These plectrums are a very thick heavy gauge and measure approximately 3.0mm in thickness.

Start exploring new tones with these exotic Opalite picks today because the simplest and most inexpensive way to change your tone is to change your pick.

About The Material These Picks Are Made From:

Opalite is a trade name for man-made opalescent glass and various opal and moonstone simulants. Other names for this glass product include argenon, sea opal, opal moonstone and other similar names. It is also used to promote impure varieties of variously colored common opal.

When opalite glass is placed against a dark background, it appears to have a blue color. When placed against a light background, it is milky white with an orange or pink glow. Because it is glass, it may sometimes contain small air bubbles, an after effect of the forming process.
